We're here to help

It is a non-participating health protection insurance plan that provides a lump sum benefit when the Life Assured is diagnosed with cancer, passes away, or suffers from Total and Permanent Disability (TPD).

It covers Very Early, Early and Advance stage cancer diagnosis up to 300% of Sum Assured. Upon approval of a Very Early Stage or Early Stage cancer claim, all future premiums for the plan will be waived.

The maximum possible payout for a policy is 300% of the Basic Sum Assured (BSA). As long as the cancer claim is below this level, the Death/TPD benefit is still available.

There are two possible scenarios:

  1. Cancer of the same organ

If the subsequent diagnosis is of the same cancer type or same organ as with the earlier claim(s), there would be an acceleration of the benefits from earlier stages. For example, if you are diagnosed with a carcinoma in situ of left breast, which is a Very Early Stage cancer, this plan will provide a lump sum cash of 50% of the Basic Sum Assured (BSA). During the treatment process, if you are diagnosed with Early Stage right breast cancer, another 100% of the BSA will be payable to you. The remaining balance of 150% of BSA will be payable if you are diagnosed with Advanced Stage cancer.

Claim No. Condition Cancer Stage Same Organ/Different Organ/td> Benefit Payable Accumulated Claim Amount
1 Very early stage of left breast Cancer Very Early - 50% of BSA 50% of BSA
2 Early stage right breast Cancer Early Same Max 150% - 50% = 100% of BSA 150% of BSA
3 Advanced stage breast Cancer Advanced Same Max 300% - 100% - 50% = 150% of BSA 300% of BSA

(Note: “Same organ” shall refer to the same part of the body which serves the same function, inclusive of body parts that occur in pairs.)

However, if the subsequent diagnosis is for the same cancer type or same organ at same cancer stage, no benefit will be payable. For example, if you are diagnosed with carcinoma in situ of left breast which is a Very Early Stage cancer, this plan will provide a lump sum cash of 50% of the BSA. During the treatment process, if you are diagnosed with carcinoma in situ of right breast, no benefit will be payable. The remaining balance of 250% of BSA will be payable should you be diagnosed with Advanced Stage cancer.

Claim No. Condition Cancer Stage Same Organ/Different Organ Benefit Payable Accumulated Claim Amount
1 Very early stage of left breast Cancer Very Early - 50% of BSA 50% of BSA
2 Very early stage right breast Cancer Very Early Same 0% of BSA 50% of BSA
3 Advanced stage breast Cancer Advanced Same Max 300% - 50% = 250% of BSA 300% of BSA

(Note: Same organ shall refer to the same part of the body which serves the same function, inclusive of body parts that occur in pairs.)

  1. Cancer of different organs

If the subsequent diagnosis is for different cancer types or different organs, you are allowed to make multiple claims for the same stage of cancer subject to the maximum cap.

For example, if you are diagnosed with carcinoma in situ of breast which is a Very Early Stage cancer, this plan will provide lump sum cash of 50% of the BSA. During the treatment process, if you are diagnosed with “carcinoma in situ of colon”, another 50% of the BSA will be payable to you. After a few months, if you are diagnosed with the Early Stage of breast cancer, another 100% of the BSA will be payable. The remaining balance of 100% of BSA will be payable if you are diagnosed with Advanced Stage cancer.

Claim No. Condition Cancer Stage Same Organ/Different Organ Benefit Payable Accumulated Claim Amount
1 Carcinoma in situ of breast Very Early - 50% of BSA 50% of BSA
2 Carcinoma in situ of colon Very Early Different 50% of BSA 100% of BSA
3 Early stage breast Cancer Early Same as Claim No. 1 Max 150% - 50% = 100% of BSA 200% of BSA
4 Advanced stage breast Cancer Advanced Same as Claim No. 1 Balance SA = Max 300% - 200% = 100% of BSA 300% of BSA

The maximum possible payout for a policy is 300% of the BSA. As long as the cancer claim is below this level, the Death/TPD benefit is still available.

In the event that you have one or more valid claims of Very Early Stage and/or Early Stage cancer of the same type, or of the same organ during the policy term, your policy will be automatically extended for two years after the policy expiry date to cover any possible advanced cancer of the same type or of the same organ.

No, you may select your own care and decide how you want to spend your lump sum benefit. Your claim eligibility is not dependent upon the physician or hospital that you are seeking treatment from.

Upon the approval of a Very Early Stage or Early Stage cancer claim or a TPD claim, all future premiums for your policy will be waived.

Each customer is only allowed to one policy per life.
