Our Total Cover Package is a comprehensive coverage plan which consists of 3 policies which are Term Cover 10, CI Shield - 5 and Hospital Shield Plus.

Yes, the premiums would be the same for the age and gender should you purchase Term Cover 10, CI Shield - 5 and Hospital Shield Plus separately.

This plan has a Sum Assured of RM50,000 - RM500,000 for life protection, RM100,000 - RM500,000 upon diagnosis of 5 Critical Illnesses and RM100 - RM300 Daily Hospitalisation Income. 

CI Shield - 5 covers Cancer, Coronary Artery By-Pass Surgery, Heart Attack, Kidney Failure and Stroke. It provides a lump sum benefit from RM100,000 - RM500,000 when the Life Assured is diagnosed with any of the 5 Critical Illnesses covered.

No, our Hospital Shield Plus product that is part of this package only provides a fixed daily hospitalisation income of RM100 - RM300 / day when the Life Assured is hospitalised. 

Yes, you may do so for any of the policy in this package at any time before the Expiry Date. No cash value will be payable and the termination of the coverage will take effect from the next premium due date.

At the end of the 10th policy year, this plan will automatically be renewed for another 10 years term without underwriting. This plan could be renewed up to 2 times, subject to the last renewal age of 60 years old. The renewal premium is determined based on the attained age of the Life Assured at the prevailing rates on the date of renewal. The premium rates will increase as you get older. The prevailing rates will be determined by the Company from time to time. You are required to notify Hong Leong Assurance Berhad at least 30 days prior to the expiry of this plan if you do not want to renew the plan for another 10 years.

The policy term is 10 years, with guaranteed renewability of another 10 years, up to 2 times, subject to the last renewal age of 60 years old.

Yes, there are circumstances when a claim will be denied. Please carefully refer to the Product Disclosure Sheet and Policy Wordings for a detailed list of exclusions.

Pre-existing Illness means an illness/ condition which existed prior to the Issue Date, Alteration Effective Date or any Reinstatement Date of this Policy, whichever is the latest, and that the Life Assured has reasonable knowledge of. A Life Assured may be considered to have reasonable knowledge of a pre-existing illness/ condition where the illness/ condition is one for which:

  1. the Life Assured had received or is receiving treatment;

  2. medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment has been recommended;

  3. clear and distinct symptoms are or were evident; or

  4. its existence would have been apparent to a reasonable person in the circumstances
